This is one of the main cornerstones of Villa Kali Ma’s holistic healing program. This group is taught three mornings each week and incorporates many different powerful techniques to help clients drop in, let go, and open to healing. Whatever you show up with; stress, anxiety, fatigue, overwhelm, body aches and pains or just the usual fear and doubt, all will melt away and you will be transformed into a better version of yourself in just one hour.
Each healing meditation and mindfulness class begins with arriving in the moment, coming into stillness, allowing the energy to settle, and experiencing the conscious awareness of your Self. You will be guided to notice what your energy feels like. Techniques for mindfulness will be taught and guided, and clients will notice the subtle shifts in their energy and awareness that move them gently from scattered feelings and racing thoughts, into a more centered and peaceful experience.
After a few minutes of settling in, we transition into breath awareness. Maintaining breath awareness throughout the practice is a powerful tool for overcoming anxiety and calming the mind. Many women in treatment struggle with racing thoughts about all the many possibilities the future holds. The mind is racing into an imaginary future and creating fear. Breath awareness helps to refocus the mind into the present moment. Multiple breath practices will be taught and practiced daily.
We begin our physical healing meditation and mindfulness practice by easing into simple movements that loosen, lengthen, and release tension and tightness in all the parts of the body. We incorporate the six movements of the spine using simple movements like cat-cow, side bends and easy twists. These movements are very important to achieving and maintaining a healthy spine and keeping all the systems of the body working properly. If you already have back issues, this is your medicine!
Throughout the practice soothing music is played to create a peaceful and relaxing feeling as you are guided to close your eyes and turn your attention inward and begin to experience your own inner beingness. You will be guided to feel deeply into your own body and notice what is going on in there. With gentle movements and flowing breath, you will become aware of your own mind, body and spirit moving in union. You will experience “yoga“, which means “union”, of yourself and your higher self. It is from this place of awareness that the healing begins.
Each healing meditation and mindfulness practice is a little bit different but maintains the main components that should become a daily ritual in each woman’s life. By repetition, the women will begin to become familiar with the practice and by the end of their stay with us, they will easily be able to take this practice with them and continue their own. This is an amazing practice that will lead each client to realize the magic ability they possess to heal their body, calm their mind, create wellbeing in their life and connect more deeply to the true self within.
With healing meditation and mindfulness practices, you will become the master of your mind, body, and emotions. You will easily tame feelings of anxiety, reduce stress and tension, calm compulsive thinking and concur any feelings of fear or self-doubt. After many months of practice, you will be gifted the ability to truly meditate. Healing meditation and mindfulness is only possible if you can calm your mind. Once you achieve this ability and practice it, you will improve your mental function, boost your immune system, sleep better, and greatly improve your sense of wellbeing. This is the gift that keeps on giving and will eventually lead you to higher consciousness and a level of peace and happiness that most only dream of.
